Dave and I took Wilson to Boston for the first time yesterday. He did remarkably well so we stayed down there for the whole day! He got to ride on the subway for the first time, and experienced an elevator for the first time as well. I think he slept through all of that! The National Association of School Psychologists was holding their annual convention in Boston, and although I've gone to Toronto, Dallas, Atlanta and New Orleans to attend, the year that it's virtually in my backyard I had other priorities! However, many of the girls I went to grad school with came back to town for the event, and we went down to have lunch with them yesterday. It was great to catch up, and Wilson loved flirting with all the pretty girls. Besides eating at the Cheesecake Factory, Wilson got to hang out in Starbucks for the first time. We walked him practically the length of the city, sometimes through gale force winds that pushed and pulled us, but it was very warm out otherwise. We strolled through the Gardens and the Common. Wilson got to experience Boston Beer Works, and Mike's Pastry in the North End. It appears as if this kid can fit into our lifestyle, so we think we'll keep him!
