Unless we're making him laugh or he's talking to us, we don't see Wilson's mouth anymore. His hands are constantly in there! He has been able to isolate a finger or two, and even his thumb once in a while, but that never lasts long. He's even taken to chasing after toys with his mouth! We recently traveled to Dave's hometown and spent time with Grandma Ruth and Pop. They threw Wilson a little party at the fire house so that he could meet many of Daddy's friends and relatives. While in Kingston, Wilson learned what Deising's is, got to go out for wings, went to the brewery for a pint, and got to sample some New York-style bagels. We also met up with Mima and Grandpa for a very quick lunch. Wilson made it clear that he does not like Italian restaurants, as it was our second unsuccesful outing eating with them, and it happened to be Italian again! Wilson's new trick is to throw his legs straight up in the air and then flop down on his side. Of course, he can only accomplish this with his hands in his mouth, and he can only go to the left. He LOVES books, and we read to him frequently during the day. Wilson will stare at the pictures and has a longer attention span than most of my students! We have to be careful of the television, because his eyes seem to be magnetically drawn to the screen. You'll be holding him, not paying attention, notice that he is oddly quiet, and then realize he is transfixed on the tv! The weather has been fairly warm, so we've gone for a walk almost every day. Wilson's biggest accomplishment as of late is almost sleeping through the night! Last night he lasted for SEVEN hours before waking up! It is so nice that he only gets up once a night now for feedings - all three of us are better rested! All in all, life is good. We are having so much fun with him; he's such a delight!
