It's incredible that our little hippo has been with us for five months now. He is such a cool kid and definitely the best thing to ever happen to us. Watching him change over the past five months has been the neatest experience. I swear he has a sophisticated sense of humor. He knows how to joke around and make me laugh. He seems more "with it" than I realized babies that young could be.
Wilson is getting very good at grabbing for things. It used to be that if he was lying on his back on the floor and dropped the toy he was playing with, you'd have to retrieve it for him. Now he is able to roll to his side, locate the dropped toy, and pick it up. He's also able to feel around for and grab other toys around him and keep himself busy. Unfortunately he's also figured out how to pinch, and will often try to do that with his free hands when he's nursing. Owwweee! I try to hold his hands so I don't get injured.
Millie has made herself a part of our bedtime routine and will come upstairs every night. If she's not already up there waiting for us, Wilson will watch the doorway for her instead of the book we're reading. He often tracks her as she walks through the room, and she seems to be coming closer and closer to him lately.
Congratulations to Rich and Kate on the birth of their son, Lucas, yesterday. Also, congrats to Rebecca and Fernando on their engagement. We're so happy for all of you!
