Our first trip home was lots of fun and much easier than we anticipated. Wilson slept in the car almost the entire time going there and coming back. He was very excited to spend time with his extended family and meet new friends. Wilson was extremely entertaining and typically in a good mood the entire weekend. On Sunday morning he was baptized in the church where I was baptized and where Dave and I were married. The baptismal gown he wore is a family heirloom, sewn by my great-great-grandmother for the baptism of my great-grandfather in the late 1800s. Wilson is just the latest in the line of Callahans to wear it, following in the footsteps of his grandfather, mother, aunt, uncle and cousins. Aunt Caitlin and Uncle Brian graciously agreed to be Wilson's godparents. After the ceremony we enjoyed a delicious brunch at my parents' house with our family and friends. Wilson and his cousin Riley were pretty much inseparable. She was very careful in holding him and playing with him, practicing for her new little brother or sister to arrive in late August. Wilson is very excited to have a cousin so close in age!!!
