The three of us were able to make it up to Maine for the long weekend and had a lot of fun with the other Callahans that were there. The weather was nice and we got in a lot of activities, including lots of playground time and even a sighting of baby seals. Wilson went for his first official hike (barefoot!) up Mt. Megunticook. It is not an easy climb, and kudos to Dave who did it with Wilson in the pack on his back! Wilson's reward for reaching the top was being able to hang out with the 6 doggies up there. Unfortunately they weren't as interested in him as he was in them. The last time we were in Maine was in October and Wilson was not yet walking. I think the trip was entirely different for him this time around because he was so mobile. Although walking on the rocky beach still presented some challenges, he loved standing at the water's edge and throwing rocks. The limitless supply was a huge plus. We also went to the sandy beach and he had fun running there and splashing in the water, despite the frigid temps and gusty winds. The renovations over at Jean and Harvey's place look great - I can't wait until they're complete.
