It's hard to believe this little guy has already been in our lives for more than two weeks. Every day seems to get a little bit easier and our confidence as parents is growing as well. Will lost his umbilical cord last Thursday when Amy was visiting, so she got to witness that momentous event. He is now practicing his "tummy time" every morning. Pam would approve! Wilson had his first play date with Wyatt on Saturday. I'm not sure that he noticed Wyatt, but Wyatt, being four months old, was very alert and seemed pretty interested in the younger baby. We decided that from now on we'll hang out with Fran and Daren for breakfast or lunch instead of dinner, as the boys reinforced and tried to one-up each other's crying during the fussy evening hours. Saturday was also when Red Sox tickets went on sale. We didn't follow our usual routine of getting as many games as we could, but instead chose one afternoon game in July to take Wilson for his first exposure to Fenway Park. He is very excited! We took Wilson out to dinner for the first time Sunday night with Adam and Julie. I think my stomach was in knots the entire time, waiting for something to go wrong, but he slept right through it, despite the moose over the fireplace that occasionally talked. He had his two-week check-up at the doctor's yesterday, and everything seems to be good. He is at the 50th percentile for height (21 inches), weight (back up to his birth weight of 8 lbs. 8 oz.), and head circumference (37 cm.). Luckily I'll be working when Dave takes him to his next appt. where he gets his next round of shots. I'm not sure I could handle seeing him go through that! Daddy goes back to work tomorrow, and I'm a little nervous to be on my own for the first time and for such a long period of time. We're also bracing for another foot of snow. Ugh! We do have Aunt Caitlin's visit this weekend to look forward to, though. We won't be hosting a Superbowl party this year, but we may still don our Pats attire anyway!

It is such a great age when they sleep through going out to dinner. Wait a couple of years, he will find plenty of ways to make you fearful of going out to a nice resturant.
