Is this finally it???

We had a very long doctor's appt. this afternoon. It started with a non-stress test to monitor the baby's heartbeat and movements along with my contractions. Buster was sleeping at first, so the nurse "tasered" him/her to wake him/her up. There was lots of movement after that! Then we had an ultrasound. It was so different than the last one we had months ago. My favorite part was looking at the lips and diaphragm move. The picture above is a profile of Buster's face. When they do this type of fetal monitoring they assign a score from 0 to 10, with 10 being the best, and Buster got a 10! This kid is acing tests already, and it's not even out of the womb! The criteria considered were heartrate, movement, amniotic fluid and a few other factors. Basically, the baby couldn't be healthier and there is no concern for the environment if he/she chooses to stay in there a little longer. They estimate at this point that Buster is about 7 lbs., 12 oz. - not bad for being in there so long. We have an appt. to be induced, if necessary, next Thursday, but the doctor today did a pretty aggressive exam and stripped my membranes, and with the pain I'm experiencing now I'm pretty sure labor has begun. I was 3 cm. dilated and 90% effaced, and she said the head was really low. She said she could have broken my water with her fingertip. Yikes! Keep your fingers crossed for us. Hopefully this baby will come out for the full moon tomorrow!
